Count Accountancy Fees and Payment options

FEES
As a new client, your first consultation is free. Here, we will discuss your individual requirements, and tailor make a package to suit your needs. You will receive a ‘no obligation’ quote, which is valid for one year.

We do not claim to be the cheapest accountants available, we aim to offer close support to our clients at prices which represent value for money for the services which we offer.

Our fees are calculated on the time spent on your affairs by ourselves, and DO NOT depend on your turnover.

Fees depend on three factors::
(a) The standard of the underlying records is very important. If two businesses have exactly the same turnover, but one has a bookkeeper who keeps good books of accounts, whilst the other does not, then obviously more time will be spent in bringing the accounts to an appropriate standard in the latter case.

(b) Certain statutory provisions affect the manner of the accounts to be prepared. Very small business entities need very simple accounts and no audit, whereas larger business entities will often require a full statutory audit. In addition, companies in regulated sectors, such as the travel industry, financial services, and members of certain trade and professional associations also require more complex accounts and full audits in certain circumstances.

(c) The people most in control of their fees are, surprisingly the clients! The more work you ask us to carry out on specific projects such as cash flows, forecasts, management accounts etc., the more time we will spend, and consequently charge. In addition, prompt responses to request of information from us, by yourselves and others such as your solicitors and bankers usually mean that we can complete the work ‘in one go’ thereby avoiding the necessity to open and close a file many times whilst information is received ‘in dribs and drabs’. By letting us have the information promptly upon request, you can save substantial amounts of time being spent on your affairs and consequently fees.

This engagement covers normal routine accountancy based services. In the event of any enquiry based work, e.g. In relation to any HM Customs & Excise / PAYE investigations, this work would always generally be considered to be outside the scope of ‘normal routine accountancy based services’.

We are able to offer all our clients the opportunity to protect against additional fees related to such enquiry work under the protection of our ‘Taxwise Insurance’.

All work undertaken will be subject to VAT, and tax invoices will be issued at the appropriate times.

Our invoices are payable on presentation. We reserve the right to charge interest, as per the conditions shown on our invoices, in the case of overdue accounts.

We also reserve the right to terminate our engagement and cease acting, if payment of any fees billed are unduly delayed. However, it is not our intention to use these rights in a way which is unfair or unreasonable.
